73 in the code is probably the production date - 1973, the collar is also the BW olive

The air flap in the front is a dead give away to the fact that it is post war made. Please see tread I have a pic of an original for comparison.

I think we are talking about 2 different coats. There is no marking inside that says 73. I am talking about the coat displayed in the link I added to my last post. I think you guys are responding to the coat displayed at the end of this thread.
