Post september 1939 production piece. The price? What one offers and seems acceptable.

            Hello
If this is the label inside , it is indeed post-war . Wartime coats would have the same markings found in wool coats ,you also had the civilian model with the just the maker's label .
Value wise ? not sure really , but at least $100+ since it is original ,but post-war .
            Regards
            P-Y

              Thanks
I did think it was post war, but only just. A good re-enacting piece then

It is my understanding that the wartime Kradmantel had band cuffs rather than vent closures. Nor did it have the shoulder flap on the right front. I've had three different postwar MC coats and one was exactly as pictured here. I've finally gotten two wartime variants; one a green Heer version (in rather poor condition) and a Luftwaffe version in very good shape in a gray color. The main thing I noticed was the wartime version was much lighter in weight than the postwae types.

The postwar Kradmantels were in the $200 range and the wartime coats seem to be in the $800 range.

                  FWIW,
                  Ron Volstad

Indeed it's a Bundeswehr Kradmantel with German Army supply no.

I know the firm Schulze in Brakel very well since it is just 4 kilometers away - and yes, the piece is Bundeswehr - but very nice!

                          Kradmantel opinions??

                          Friends,

I am new to the forum and, as such, am not allowed to post yet. At least that is what I understand. I have just purchased what I believe to be a Kradmantel. I would love to post the pics, but am not able to. Anyone have any suggestions in this issue?

73 in the code is probably the production date - 1973, the collar is also the BW olive
