Can anyone explain why this tunic has (CAV) yellow collar tabs? Was this a unit specific thing for Aufklarungs platoon?

Can´t tell. He has been in the 13.(Geschütz)Kp., then in the 10.Kp...
not recce...
perhaps the soldbuch knows more...

My guess on the yellow piped collar tabs is the lack of any panzergrenadier piped collar tabs being available at this early date!

Hello again!
SB came today - unfortunately just for research...
Also unfortunately, he wears another tunic on the foto, but there´s an evidence on page 8. It says "Umtausch Felbluse 30/9 40" . So, on this day he changed one of his two tunics, perhaps he got one with Recce-tabs...?
However, the tabs have been there, ever. You spot it from either side...
Perhaps someone has another example?

here´s my favorite: a list of his CC-days nr. 16 to 30, for the CCC in silver.
nr 26 to 30 are Nahkampftage from 1941, which they obviously did not count for his CCC in bronce.
Nr 20 to 24 show, that they had 5 days of close combat in a row!
Nr 16 took place in warsaw.
Due to the late stage, he never got the silver CCC...

EK II, PAB,Winterschlacht im Osten and Verw.Abz. are on page 22, hich has been changed for that purpose, CCC and EK I are on an extra sheet.
