Quesitons on Officer's Tailored Tunic with Name

Hi All -

Just picked this one up and it looks like it never made it out of the tailor's shop. It had insignia on it at one point but it looks to me like it was only tacked on. The award loops look to have never had badges on them. The most interesting thing was the name tag that was tucked up under the cuff - can anyone decipher it for me? the tunic itself is jack stone mint and a human size - I'd guess around a European 52/US 40 L - the mannequin I have it on is the biggest one I have.

Would this be considered "Italian Wool"?

Also, there is a single one centimeter long horizontal stitch on the left shoulder - right at where an arm eagle or campaign shield would be. It looks to me to be a place holder, but that's just a guess. Anyone seen anything like that before?

DOH! That should have been obvious to me. ****. Must have been a guy counting on promotion toward the end of the war.
