IMO this is a very late production coat in Feldgrau 44.

This looks like a similar wool and color. Also the range of height sizes as far as I know are Late War.

Mike, does yours have a synthetic lining I would expect to see that only in later clothing? The color of the coats in the Kurtz books is more of a dull brown then the 44 wools. Here are more images of detail. The discussed coat is very interesting, we will see what evolves.
