Inf. artillery tunic M43 mod. Opinions pls!!!

I have offered to buy this tunic, someone knows of information? do you think is genuine?

Very intersting. A tailor-made officer tunic that is only partially lined and has features of an M42, in enlisted quality wool. I have never seen such a thing, I would like to see this in person.

I cannot tell from the photos if it is without question original but it looks okay from what can be seen. I have seen a couple partially like this without frills, cuffs etc. I think they were cheap options for field tunics.

Gentlemen they say always go with the gut. My gut tells me this tunic IS NOT of pre 1945 origin. It has more than one thing I don’t feel comfortable with. The name tag to start. First not your standard oil cloth. No this is not a deal breaker but the very faint inking is for me. Oil cloth generally the text was inked as cloth tags were generally sewn. The date format to include the day is a bit odd also. Generally they wrote out the month and year. Next is the friction clip for the dagger hanger. IMO it is a reproduction. How do I know? I bought one a few years ago for a replacement on a tunic until I found a real one. They are made of light cast aluminum and unlike originals. Then you have wear to the collar but the sleeve lining is pristine. The overall design features are odd too. Am I 100% sure it is bad? NO! I am not feeling the love though. JM2C.

I agree but if it were offered to me via photos only I would walk. I have no real proof other than a bad gut feel.

Anyway here is one of those fake friction clips I talked about. They are pretty easy to spot.

John, they are made out of aluminum rather than the standard metal ones we see. I have never seen a real one made of aluminum yet. These are the only ones I know of.
