    Regimental Gebirgsjäger Standarte

    Dear fellow collectors,

I need some good images of the above-mentioned item. The purpose is that I would like to have one of this made in Pakistan, in order to display it with all my other Gebirgsjäger's collectibles.

I do know that exist books with very good pictures of these Flags and perhaps even a layout.

I thank you all in advance and am looking forward receiving your replies.

    mit einem kameradschaftlichen Gruss,

    Claudio Ortelli

    again...

mmmmh... I hate to see my postings without any replies.

Maybe I need to add a picture to make it more interesting:

I need all the info possible on Standarten (regimental or battalion flags): size (in cm), material used, pole construction, ect... I surely would appreciate high quality images of such flags. I would really appreciate if you could send me some of those by email!

    Thank you for your patience!

    Ciao,

    Claudio

      Hello Cladio,
here is a site you would find useful.... http://www.rusfront1.narod.ru/kist/index.htm

I noticed that Soldat offers replica fahnen in different branch colours too...so maybe that will be easier, look lower down on the page: http://www.soldat.com/soldat_tagesbericht.htm

Hope that helps! Cheers, Wade K.

        commercial endevour??

Claudio I cant help but interpret from your postings that you are useing the Forum as a way to advertise your site/business. The questions you ask are very SOPHMORIC in nature and I note no follow-up on your part. The items that you show are great and require a level of expertise to decide to purchase so I question all of these inquiries. Just a hint bud.....participate DON'T use!

          Bill,

First of all your posting has nothing to do with with the thread I tried to start here. You should have contacted me by email to vent your worries about my integrity.

From your posting I can tell that you don't know me at all. The link you see as "auto-signature" at the bottom of my postings is not my webpage but my brother's Marco webpage. I never earned a single cent out of it. Furthermore my brother was kind enough to offer his services as an artist to the creator of this interesting site for free! My brother doesn't make a living out of selling his art work. It is more a sort of hobby for him and I am very proud of his artistic talent. That's why I want everybody to know about him and his website.

Last but not least many collectors do sign their postings with their webpages' links where you can often find medals on sale. I do not see anything wrong with it, because it stimulates an healthy trade between collectors.

May I suggest you something? If you do really feel disturbed by my postings or my "auto-signature", then in this case don't consult them! That's pretty simple.

          Sincerely,

          Claudio Ortelli

If a post is in violation of a forum rule, isn't the moderator the one to make comments. I have to agree w/ Claudio that this should have been private between two of you.

              Standarte

Claudio, do you have contacts with the Pakistanis? I am also trying to get a Luftwaffe standarte made. Any help or advice you can give me would be greatly appreciated. You can contact me off forum at luftwaffefeld@cs.com if you'd prefer.

                Pakistan

There are MANY companies in Pakistan that do quality embroidery for very cheap prices. A web search on Google.com will find several for you - search for Pakistan and badges.

                  Embroidery specialist

Thank you Michael! Actually I already tried to contact a Pakistani company.

The only problem right now is that I need close up pictures of the Standarte's details. My brother will work on a sketch (1:1 or 1:2 size), but we need more details. I already have the measurements, but I also need the exact description of the materials used.

I have been heard that the best specialists in embroidery are in the Czech republic. Does anybody have some contacts there?

                  Thank you!

                  Ciao,

                  Claudio
