The shape of the tab is very unusual and the bullion work is also of a design which I do not particularly like.
From the photos I can not tell if that is glue marks in the 4 corners or snaps. If snaps then this tab would have been made for wear on the summer whites. The tabs would allow for easy removal of insignia when the uniform was sent to the cleaners.
There are a few strange aspects of it. I am not saying it is not original, there are just a few things about it that are not typical and I would find bothersome.
1. The general shape
2. The embroidery looks unusual
It could be a foreign contract peice or it could be a repro. I would have to have it in hand to make my decision. I would get it if it were inexpensive, but is just me. I like to keep even a repro or two, in the reference drawer!
My recommendation would be to pass on the piece no matter how cheap it is. FLAK is one of the most common waffenfarbes to find in Luft tabs. Since there are so many of them around you should just wait till a single or pair comes along that is less controversial and more in line with the norm.
