Stug Battalion 400

Hi All,

I have a question, please, that I hope perhaps one of you can answer. I have interest in Strumartillerie or Strumgeschutz Battalion 400. They were a training and replacement unit. I am trying to locate where they were stationed. According to the Axis History Forum they were the training unit for the 300th battalion which was trained and outfiitted in France but were then sent off to the East. Any info regarding the 400th would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

I think you mean Sturmgeschuetz-Ersatz-Abteilung 400 - here's a link from the Lexikon der Wehrmacht site. It seems that the unit never saw combat....
