    Hello,

These little pieces of cloth have arrived this evening when I checked the mailbox => they belonged towards a brother of a good friend who was KIA as a fighter pilot during the early war years in Russia.

Can i have you guys opinion please on the Eagle's etc ... as wich type they are etc .... + are they for the Uniform or for the headgear ?

Cordial greetings and thanks for looking

        Hi Stijn,

Based on the size of the eagles compared to the badges, I would say that they are both breast eagles, worn on either the Fliegerbluse or the 4-pocket tunic. I can still see the threads on the right eagle, that indicate it was removed from a uniform. Can't really tell on the left eagle, as it has some mothing.

Has anyone here ever seen a non-standard 1937 pattern EM eagle that is original to a Fliegerbluse? I think a 4 pocket tunic is more likely as there was a lot more leeway as to insignia and accoutrements.

            Eagle's

            Hello,

Thank you both for your kind reply's, these insignia where removed from the recipients uniform ( who is a KIA ) shortly after the war as the parents of the pilot where scared that the finding of the Uniform would mean trouble for them !!!! , so that explains why on some pieces there is still stitching left.

Can the eagle's be devided in types ? from wich manufacturing period can they be originated ? etc ...

When wanted I can also show the reverse if it is of any help
