    Coastal Artillery NCO for comments...

Please, could we discuss this tunic? It looks like an upgraded tunic with gold thread sewn through the center of the collar tabs, and possible tresse added to collar as well, although the tabs do look original to the tunic. Boards are added. Please feel free to discuss this. There is said to have been a circular patch on the right sleeve as well.

Nice moleskin kriegsmarine (landbased) coastal artillery NCO tunic. I have a twin.
If I am not mistaken I think the stamp reads BA K (Bekleidungs Amt Kiel)
Its interesting that generic Heer collar litzen (Heer), have been used
with modified center embroidery in yellow waffenfarbe to transform
these into "coastal KM" litzen. If that was period done like that ,who knows?
(same comment for the breast eagle...) Could very well be!
These moleskin tunics started life in the Weimar era Reichsmarine, so of course lacked a breast eagle originally!!
Still a beauty in my book! Congrats!

                              Thank you Nick,

Yes, the hand-sewn golden thread (waffenfarb) in the litzen was one of my concerns. Just as easy to add the correct color as change the entire tab.

                              Thanks,
                              Robert
