Panzer Gren Rgt 15 Slip Ons.

    Hi everyone,
Would it be a mistake tu put these ones in a 1944 Normandy panzergrenadier display?
    Thanks in advance,
    Doc

This unit was not in/at Normandy.

They were wiped out at Stalingrad then re-consituted (re-created actually!) and spent the rest of the war in Italy...part of the 29th Pzgrd Div.

Yes, I read that it was destroyed in january 1943 in Stalingrad, but didn't knew where did it stayed after it's re-built, thanks a lot,

Personally, I think that is jaeger, not panzergren. The 15th mot if was reconstituted after Stalingrad and serve in Italy if my memory serves me right. Jacques

Yes it would be wrong i d say as the Panzer grenadier regiment 15 didnt really exist as it was formed in italy and then renamed as part of the Grenadier regiment 15 part of the 29 Pz.Gren.Div. that was still in Italy

Imo they Pz.Gren, no 15th GJ or Jaeger listed on Lexicon either.

IMO these are for the 15th pzgdr REGIMENT as there was not 15th Jager regiment that I know of??

The 15th Pzgdr certainly existed after Stalingrad and there history is well documented.

These green waffenfarb colors are a nightmare to try and determine as there are so many shade differences. I would be scared to death to find a uniform with green piped insignia that was all exactly the same shade between say four or 6 insignia items as I would assume that it must be fake!
