    Luftwaffe Waffenrocks?

    I understand the Luftwaffe waffenrock is a pretty scarce item, having a 5-button front and neck closure feature. How scarce are they? Does anyone have any examples they can share here?

    Hello,

    They are not that uncommon, but are more scarce than the earlier Tuchrocks. I collect tuchrocks(about 9 of them), so I do not have any waffenrocks to show. I do know that there are plenty on the forum to see if you were to do a search.

      Luftwaffe waffenrock

      Here's mine with neck closure in the closed position...
      These were an early idea and intended to be used for dress (formal) wear with the neck clusure opened (with shirt and tie) and closed (as depicted) for field wear. It never caught on as the fliegerbluse with its unique LW look was way more popular.... Mine came stripped of insignia so I restored it with LW field Div. insignia to give it that (Heer) combat look.
