    Strange Shoulder Board

This board comes from George Peterson. It appears to be a LW TSD shoulder board for a summer white tunic.

The only thing that confuses me is the white center layer.

    What is this board?

The board reminds me of some Herman Goring officers boards I have seen, but they had the white as an underlay for HG with pink in the center SS style for panzer. I think they are pretty scarce. This style is something I'm not familiar with.

You have seen a multi layered pink/white/russian braid board before!!? Where do you remember seeing them? Was it an article? This is very interesting.

I think it is possible they modified a regular infantry sew in dress shoulder strap for use in a white summer tunic by adding the "T" and added the blue underlay to try to match TSD Waffenfarbe? I imagine it was tough to get dress TSD boards for a summer tunic post January 1944 when TSD came in.
