    Another gem

Well here is another gem from my favorite dealer. $3,500 for this? Craig must be hitting the crack pipe again. Here is my favorite line, I don’t know if this is suppose to justify the price or what, “Uniform, Artillery Major, Originally Applied Krim Shield”. Well since the rest of this gem looks to be put together (and not very well I might add) I doubt this is the case. I love the board attachment.

C.G., stay away from cloth it is not your bag.

Dammm, even if it had original sewn insignia it was way overated.... it's just an artillery, the most common branch in Tirth Reich militaria . And if there is definatly something not original sewn I would take the krim shield...

Hehe I love the boards too, looks like 1/3 is missing .

      Compressed carbon atoms

NTZ, you naughty man, maybe like a car there is a S2400.00 mail in rebate? To me this is a 1100 US tunic with questions but if he can sell it for what he is asking wonderful and capitalism is deemed functional by the Gods of silly pricing. I actually find it all sort of funny.

I like the smoke M44 story, that was my favorite.

You mean the one I looked at the SOS. It was on some small dealers table. Since I am missing smoke I took a look. Put togeather IMHO. The best part is the dealer would have taken $1,200 for it. Still over priced but now it is $3K.

Yes, that is the one. Maybe that incorporates the gas costs to drive it home from the show?

              Hello
What is next ? $6000 for the pants ???
According to the " Supply & demand" theorist , it is due to "supply and demand" you see , everyone wants one so the price is justified !!!.
              I have now re-started collecting WW1 uniforms , less "supply & demand " investors type .
              regards

Wait until 2014-18 and watch the ballon soar! I have a lot of WWI stuff, I think it is way undervalued. As long as the dollar is in the toilet prices will stay were they are with TR. When and if it levels out things will stablize. I do not think many people in the US are paying those prices. When I was in Germany in the 80's and the DM was 4 to 1 we could do the same thing. Ebb and tide, some of those WWII items have gone back and forth across the Atlantic more times than Columbus now.

Reapplied breast eagle that's for darn sure. You can see where the old one sat lower than the current one and the fabric just above the top pocket edge. It even has some picks to the gabardine where the old adler was removed. The modern day zig-zag sewing job on the eagle is nicely done though.

I think he posted this one for our entertainment. Even with the weak dollar this thing goes for 2200 Euros!
