    WWI WWII German Jackboots

Anyone know when the Germans changed design of WWI side seam stitched jackboots to the WWII type rear seam stitched jackboots, got a pair from a widow of a WWII veteran who got them in WWII, they are black EM hobnail jackboots but are the side stitched seam type, any info appreciated.

There is no single time or change over, WWI stocks were used into the 30's as were new boots with back seams. As general rule for issue items were side seamed in WWI and back semed in WWII but there are many exceptions and side seamed boots were used in WWII and back seamed boots existed in WWI. Can you post pictures of the boots showing soles and the interior, boot pull tabs etc.
