Help with Overcoat please

Here is an overcoat I would like to get your thoughts on. It is just like every other overcoat I have owned with the exception of the field gray collar, the material the liner is made of and the size markings stamped inside the liner.

I do know that the late war overcoats had a field gray collar that was much larger than this one, I have just never seen one this small. And the others I have are with size stamp inside the left breast and not on the back like this one. The liner material seems to be higher quality than the other I have had as well.

Other than that everything else about this coat looks ok. Any help on this one would be greatly appreciated.

The wool looks more gray than on most of the other overcoats I have had or at least lighter.

This is a nice example of an original M40, the large collars were on later coats. This is 100% correct.
