        I knew I picked a good name..........(clueless)

I can see you guys have had practice making fun of suckers before....

Can you tell me what " BEVO manufacture" is/means?

The SOB who got me was set up with tons O' stuff at a Pennsylvania gun show near Pittsburgh. He had medals, paperwork, rings, patches, ect, ect. He 'got' alot of people there, although that doesn't make me any less angry.....
He told me it came from a Waffen SS tunic from a frontline unit on the Russian front... You should see the detail on the sewing/stitching - it's something else.

Am I aloud to rat him out?
He gave me his card with two addresses on it, 1 in NY and 1 in Greece. He was older and had a serious accent and I checked on the name/address in NY and someone by that name really exists there.
This was his "thing", he was good, really working the crowd.
In all seriousness I am really, really 'F'ing angry. This guy was a pro. (not that I'm not a retard) but he does this for a living, you know, you could tell...........

        Will wait for advice, thanks.

lol yeah only the elite wore the slogan from the Hitler Jugend, "Blut Und Ehre" Not to mention the "Das Reich", skull & SS sig runes etc.

Must be super rare... but where on the Tunic did it go?

Why do you think we joined the forum??

On a serious note, if you plan to get into collecting german militaria. Be sure to study before you make any purchases. If you have a leather jacket maybe you should sew this under "Hell's Angels". If not, first you need a motorcycle and a badass pair of sunglasses

                      Hi Clueless,

Somehow my greeting sounds like an insult.. lol

Okay, first things first. Did you actually buy this off him? or did he offer it to you. How much was he trying to sell this for?

Am I aloud to rat him out?
Well that's the problem, he wasn't trying to sell a fake... so I don't think too many collectors really fear getting burnt with this one.

We all have to start somewhere, so if for whatever the reason you did pay a significant amount of money for this item I would contact him ASAP.

btw, welcome to the forum. Sometimes I can't help but be a smartass This forum will really help you with your collecting, you joined a good one Good luck with your future collecting.

                        Hi Clueless,

Don't for a moment think we are laughing at you, well OK, maybe for just a moment, but I can assure you we have all been in your position, to some extent, at one time or another. Part of the learning process. If you can get some money back that would be great but if not you may find solace in knowing that you have now paid your entry fee into the hobby.

If I, or any of us, can assist you in the future let us know.

                        Kind regards,
                        Stu

                          You guys are merciless-

Thankfully I actually do own a bike and a badass pair of sunglasses, so I might just sew it on my jacket. It's gotta pay for itself one way or another.....

Anyway, this is the sob's full info., exactly as it appears on his card.

The good thing is that you joined the forum, knowledge is power.

This guy is something like a con artist I think, looks like that, I would not be supprised if the info on his card is bogus.

Actually, the first time I got "conned" on Third Reich militaria was in Greece Athens, I was merely a boy, 13 years old. Bought what I thought and was told a real SS-ring for 50 €, back then in those days over 20 years ago it was half of my travel budget, today it is pocket change.

That got me started to read and learn more about the subject to know if stuff was real or fake.

I don't think the adress would be real, he sells a piece of crap and dissappears.

But that was one HELL of a fanatic German

I hope the ex-owner's story wasn't, this was ripped of a uniform from an SS soldier which was hanged in the 50's because of the Nüremberg trials for war crimes in russia.
