    Hey Willi,

I remember this cross. I had the opportunity to purchase it a few years ago. If I remember correctly, it is marked 'SH' in a circle on the back of the cross.

Desperately seeking a Juncker Knights Cross ribbon loop and well used Knights Cross ribbon!!!

Those are some fantastic, one-of-a-kind awards, Willi & Howard! I'd love any of them. Howard's EK1 in posts #247 & 249 is probably my second favorite EK ever, after the WWI EK2 with bullet hole pictured in "Military Collectables" (Magna).....Last year, I was offered a complete cut-off pocket with award loops, including those for a long ribbon bar above it. I had just spent a bunch of $$$, and didn't have the awards to match, so I let it go, dammit.

        Bob,

        I hate to cause flash-backs.

What price was the section of the pocket?

        Best,
        Howard

S.S. Panzer wrapper Eagle and Cuffband

Wish I could claim these for myself......but I can not.

Don't remeber who sent the photos to me, but I do remember I didn't have the money at the time to buy these pieces.

            Cheers,
            Howard

It was $100, and he was including half a broken silver PAB. I should have gone for it..........I took some new photos of my cut off LW collars for another site; might as well post them here.

                  Hi Bob,

How about some close ups of the special rank insignia, front and reverse. IMHO cut Luft. special rank is scarce.

Hi John. It's not a cut-off. It looks folded over and glued in an album, maybe.

                      Nice group Bob!

Not many of these threads I enjoy, this thread hits me square in the jaw!

                      Should be start different threads?

                      One for cutoff Luft. Eagles.

                      One for cutoff Army eagles.

One for cutoff Luft. Collar tabs.

One for cutoff Army collar tabs.

                      Etc., etc., etc.

Or would this ruin our chances of getting more items?

Curious, but has anyone seen any political leaders collar tabs cutoff?

                      Or S.S. collar tabs?

I did see a nice Totenkopf collar tab cutoff, Bruce Herman had it for sell at a SOS 5-6 years ago. Price was around $500.00. Don't see very many.

Thanks Bob, and Willi! Let's keep'm coming!

                      Cheers,
                      Howard

I took a few pix, John. Somehow my camera is darkening the ones of the front. The rank backing is more blue, like the reverse shot will show.

More like this. I think the white gulls on the front reflect too much light, and cause the camera to adjust itself to prevent overexposure. It doesn't take good photos on a white background or in snow, either.

                            Thanks Bob,

Folded and glued is the typical style of construction. Some are folded and carefully sewn, but these are less common. At first look I thought yours was cut from a flight suit, and that would make it very desirable and scarce. Nice rank all the same!
                            Regards,
                            John

                            PS: your photos are great!
