    Hi Steve,
I know you do not settle for 2nd best in quality, and I must agree that the adler is resewn. It sits too 'proud' from it's backing, and there is no build up of unworn cloth about it's edges. I also think I can see the area where the original bird sat.
With questions comes doubt - and without total faith in this one, I don't believe you'll truely be content with it.
    Best Regards,
    Mark.

      Hi Mark,

I do like high quality items and I do want a 100% factory item. this one does have questions. The eagle does sit proud but the shadow is IMHO where the lapel didn't rub off the wool nap. However, I could be wrong a so it is going back.

I thought the tunic looked really cool. The price wasn't bad even for a re-sewn tunic. Oh well, I hope for better luck.

      Thanks. Steve

If the lining seam was not opened, then as Glenn has said, during the shortening would be the only way possible that a breast eagle could be machine sewn if previously removed. For me, without a hands on, all I can say is it started as an original wrap, but further CSI examination would be needed to unravel its mysteries. Steve, I'll let you know if another all factory original comes my way again as I usually only keep the odd or unique ones.
