I remember reading somewhere (not sure where) that there was a brief period in 1943 in which KM officers wore both shoulder boards AND sleeve lace on their reefers. Is this true? If so, does anyone have a picture? And did KM officers ever wear only shoulder boards on the reefer?

KM officers were authorize to use the shoulders in addition to the cuff ring on the reefer tunic in the occupied countries, and only use the shoulders alone with the coat.

Ah yes, now I remember. The tunic I was talking about was also a sonderfuhrer.

I think that the use of shoulders with the reefer tunics were permitted after the occupation of France, in 1940, but it's use were discontinued in 1942 by an official order.
