    Help with name

    Guys I need your help on this one. For the life of me I can't figure out the name below. This tag is from the pants of my first uniform I bought, that got me into collecting. It's a 7th Artillery Regiment Uniform for a 2nd LT (reserves), I got the Tunic, Alter Art cap and parade pants. I sold the pants like an idiot about 10 years ago, but I still have this pic of the soldiers name. The vet who brought this outfit back was a friend of the family and when he passed, I aquired his war booty. Please help me to identify this soldier and what ever info I can get on him I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks, Matt

      Thank You Pauke You're right on

      I've been doing some searching on the net and it looks like the cursive used during WW2 was commonly Sutterlin. Here is a neat little chart to make translating german ww2 cursive a little easier.
