    Early Luftwaffe Signals 'Der Speiss'

    Hi all,

I just got around to photographing one of my SOS tunics, an early Luftwaffe Signals 'Der Speiss'. George Peterson was good enough to look this piece over for me. Everything is 100%. All tress matches perfectly, no removed or added/replaced insignia, etc. Dated April, 1935, named to 'Weiner Robis' of 2. Komp., 2. Komp NARLM (Signals Reich's Luft. Ministry), III, and 1.A Komp. Beautiful early droop-tailed breast eagle, tightly sewn to breast. I really like this early light brown Luftwaffe Communications Waffenfarb.

    Robert,

Very nice tunic. Your uniform collection seems to be growing daily.

      Thanks Steven,

I just couldn't pass this piece up at the last hours of the show. It really caught my eye. Like the Juncker EKI?

                Thanks Gene!

No, Steve, I already had this Juncker before the Show.

                  Tunic

Very nice tunic and also a rare unit marking. You might want to do a records search for this guy, he may have been commisioned later in the War. Here is a flight tunic to match.

Something interesting...the flap on the right breast pocket is sewn down around the perimeter. Walking-out tunic?

Beautiful tunics guys! My bau tunic came from the same person as Roberts. I heard that the tunics came from a huge collection. I would have loved to have seen all of them together!!
