Early EM Panzer 4-Pocket Tunic by HUGO BOSS

    This one's for NickG.

Having seen Nick's requests to see other tunics produced by the firm of HUGO BOSS (without results) I thought it was time to reassure him that there is at least one more example out there.

This untouched tunic for a private is a good example of the quality this firm put into their work. The cutting expertise is evident from the pictures and having measured the dimensions myself with a ruler I can tell you they are pretty much bang on, in that the dimensions of one side of the tunic read like the other.

Other than that I really do not know too much about it's origins. If anyone can supply any background info on this style and the date it would likely have been made, I would very much appreciate hearing from you. 13 pics to follow.

Pictures taken outdoors some two or three years ago on a shifting cloudy day.

I acquired this tunic without shoulder straps but found the pair shown soon after.

The arrow points to one of the flaws (one or two areas like this) otherwise there is no damge to the tunic.

And a couple of medals to fill the two sets of period loops.

                              Hello Will,

Could you please show us the interior. I am sorry but can't agree it's "untouched"... IMO this looks put together. Quick observation: jacket seems to be of the KM Coastal Arty type with the hidden lower pockets and missing belt hook holes... The boards are repros... The collar tabs are not original... at least not to the tunic

                              BR,
                              Albert
