    Can not comment on the tunic itself - but the awards shown on this uniform w/o rank - are unrealistic.
    The private purchase eagle on a uniform w/o rank is highly unusual.

      Appears to be a very nice Hugo Boss manufactured jacket.

        I agree on the jacket. This is only one of the rare times in my life I have any appreciation for anything generated in the world of High fashion. I think they should go back to making these. Probably the last practical garment they have manufactured.

        In keeping with the fashion theme I believe the base jacket has been heavily "accessorized" by a designer.

        All it needs is a badge cloth purse with SS ligntning bolts and a Panzer beret in plaid maybe some purple leather riding breeches and jackboots.

        I bet we could sell it to Cher for a lot of money. It is after all "a Boss original"

            IMO it is, the Reichsheer tunics with internal lower pockets that were used by the WH had dark green collars and a 6-8 button front.

              I Agree with Albert. The boards are repros.

                Will, this isn't a standard pattern Heer tunic - does it have any other stamps or markings inside? I believe it may well have started life out as a KM tunic.

                  Thank you all for your feedback guys. Well, some positive and some not so positive observations, but on the whole not bad. At least it makes for interesting reading.

                  As for the tunic itself, while it has been pointed out by Glenn and jhodgson to be a nice HUGO BOSS made tunic it seems agreed that the style was for the coastal artillery of the KM. No problem by me with that.

                  I do believe that the panzer collar tabs are period sewn however. Neither of the above members said otherwise, and... HB would not make an early jacket like this and leave it unfinished, they would have applied tabs of some sort, even using spiffy light green thread as seen from the top in keeping with their flair for design. I feel this jacket, made for the coastal artillery was most likely redirected for use by a member of a different branch of service, in this case panzer. And I think that a very likely possibility, events like that probably happened quite often. Supply and demand you know.

                  Check out these new pictures of the collar underside showing the one time application of the tabs. I see no red flags there.

                      Regarding the requests for views of the internal lining and markings, happy to oblige. Here are four, including a better view of the previously posted size markings.

                              Jhodgson;

                              I have to respectfully disagree, that is not a Reichswehr jacket. The bottom pockets on a Reichswehr jacket, although hidden are slanted downwards towards the bottom. These lower pockets are horizontal across. The inside, as revealed in a post after yours, shows there are no inside vent pockets.

                              I agree that that appears to be a KM coastal artillery jacket. I think that alone could make the insignia suspicious. It is still a very nice period item

                                Bruce, on the contrary, J. joined ranks with those who said that it was a KM tunic in preceding posts and pointed out that RW jackets would look different.
