Another DAK tropical hat set.
Does this set stand a chance? I think I see 5 feathers (like a breast eagle) instead of 4 like a cap eagle...which worries me...(Its framed with some other DAK artifacts which are solid!)

I agree Mark. Here's a close up that will most likely seal its fate!
Its stained so looks old but that does not mean anything! It was a gift from somebody so no loss!

Those IMO are both reproductions. You guys from NZ should recognize the stain. It looks like Tea, old trick. Base material is wrong for both. Look at the eagles's head.

Hi, that eagle and cockade are both known to be 'bad'. The medal and 'blitz' are 'good' from what I can see.

I do not think any Kiwi said that they liked the eagle or the cockade. The Aussies do not seem to like it either

Good point about the tea stain however although some thing which has sat for a period of time in dirty, oily water can also produce a similar look. This is one of these cases where a reproduction item can look as good as the real deal over a computer image but when you get to handle it you will know with-in two minutes if not sooner,
