Greetings Andreas,

I believe that this is a reproduction eagle. I have an embroidered one ,white on dark green, but the embroidery is different. I think that these come on the Lost Battalion M43's but I could be wrong.

While I am not familiar with this particular type, I cannot say 'good or bad'. it does have some nice detail on the chest feathers, wings, head and claws. The swas. and the wreath don't look too bad either. I also like the silver/grey thread. Good luck.

I see this type the first time. I was sure that everyone would say "bad".

I think I can see the difference in shading of silver grey eagle and white cocade in the picture.. - and I would give the eagle to the trash yet

Yes, it does look as though the wraparound has an example of the "late style" embroidered eagles. And a fine looking garment it is!
