    Luftwaffe Flight Jacket

I am sure some of you saw this for sale on the estand - I was fortunate enough to be the first person to contact the seller!
I was wondering if there is anything I can do about the damage? I want to start to put together a LW pilot's uniform since I am Air Force myself and work with avionics on a daily basis. Also, is there anything wrong with this piece at all?
    Thanks for looking!
    Very respectfully,
    A1C Bandow

There is nothing "wrong" with the jacket other than the extensive damage. Take it to a good professional tailor and see what they can do.

Im looking for a jacket of this type but "unissued", and mint, absent tears, damage or fading... anyone?

Hello, I would leave as is. A combat worn and beat up jacket. The cloth used in this type of jacket was not real combat resilient. Here is one set that went cheap in my opinion a few months ago on ebay. Best, Bill Bourque http://cgi.ebay.com/HEATED-LUFTWAFFE...QQcmdZViewItem

If this is war-time damage, the Luftwaffe must have had mice in the cockpits...

Sorry to pull up an old thread, but I am wanting to put together a mannequin with this jacket, and was wondering if both Officers and EM wore these?
                      Any input is much appreciated!
