IMO it does matter...
this one was not made to deceive collectors, it's a large scale produced Feldbluse for reenacting and cinema. They are well cut, well finished, but this company always uses the same raw material (wool, lining), always reproducing the same construction and the same mistakes, so these garments are not a threat for well informed collectors. They also use the same wool & lining for pants, sidecaps, M43 caps, greatcoats
what they become once sold is another story...

Sturm tunic for sure! I have seen these tunics around and in hand, they are clearly fake. The wool (and the lining buttons) is what gives these tunics away for me especuially in photographs. Additionally the eagle, straps are fake.

agreed
Yes the wear on the collar looks good.
It's one of those that just doesn't look quite right until you see something that really confirms your suspicions.. the RBN and size and stamps give it away..
I guess if you've seen them and handled them before it might be more obvious.

You'll have to keep looking. Top fieldgear website you have.

Yep, the collar is very nice "aged" on the pictures. I'm glad i did not buy it for 750 euro's. The stamps made me wonder to be honest. From the look of the collar I 1st thought it was original.
Anyway, it's good to have this forum, and I'd like to thank everyone for expressing their feelings about this.
So, back to the search for an original M36 jacket that fits a manequin.
Just out of curiosity : is this a lostbattalions jacket ? or one you can buy from atthefront. For the time beeing I'm thinking of buying a good replica to give people an idea of what an early war soldier looked like. I'm starting a little private museum in the northern part of Holland, which ofcourse involves the invasion of the Netherlands.
Anyone who could help me on purchasing a repro uniform? Or even better, an original M36 jacket and Stone grey trousers?
