    Grey Heer pants?

    Hello,

This one is posted before but a ''big'' collector sad to me that this trousers was a faker?

Could anyone confirm his opinion or is it a 100% orginal?

What would be a good price to sell him?

    Cheers,

    Michael

Though it's hard to tell from the photos, they do not look good, especially the stampings.

I have a few concerns about them. Date, buttons, alterations.

I have seen that type of button used on period uniforms before. I have also seen the lining sewn in with a mix of machine and hand stitching. I can't explain why stone grey was used in a 1941 dated item unless they are not heer trousers at all (DRK?). The white lining on these are a prime candidate for UV testing. That might help.

                Hello
Similar trousers have been posted before and they were original , from the same maker. It appears that the same maker made them as well as few others . Now if these pants are fake , possible ? the stamps appear to have been copied ? they did look good to me the first time . I used to own one pair long ago , made of a top quality fieldgray wool , but not with the same buttons and with a textbook lining , they were not intended for combat but more likely for walkout dress.
To believe that the German stop using their stock of fieldgray wool in 1940 just because a new shade of wool came into play , is just plain silly !!!.
                Regards

At this stage of the war, they weren't worried about wool or material shortages. They would regulate a change in design or color, give advance notice to the manufacturers and establish a wear-out date for items in-use. Any left-over stocks of material would not be thrown away -- just recycled or re-dyed. It would seem unusual that a uniform factory would be making trousers the wrong color approximately one year after a regulation change.

For me they are a pair of trousers of the Förster to which has removed the green profiles to the sides, the cut were IDENTICAL to the trousers of the army, and they were stonegray, it would need to see if they have trace of the pocket on the back thigh for the knife.
                    Regards, Luca.

                      Hello
I understand your point . By 1941 everything was going well for the German.
I would make sense that these trousers would have still been manufactured for a private market . I owned one ( I still have the pictures) in perfect condition and made from a high quality wool , it was the textbook cut , but made and purchased for a private use , most likely by a veteran of pre 1940 time , who would want to keep that pre-war status appearance . And we are talking 1941 , not 1944 when everything went to poop for the German.
                      Regards

I would quite agree with that...but these seemed to be stamped as though they were general production status. Quite frankly, I have refrained from giving an opinion as to good or bad...

so you delete the pictures after people took there time to try to help you out
Give a man an opinion and you feed him for a day,
teach a man to use the "search" function on the WAF and you feed him for a lifetime.
