I have not seen one before with tropical tresse, but it looks the same as the luftwaffe silver type I have on a pair.

Also looks like there was a button there from the pictures, being a single and not a pair in my instinct would be perhaps a good sign.

and background, where it came from could also help

you could always put the lamp on it or burn a thread, cotton is a fast wick like burn

that is my opinion and I might not be right as to it being 100% as I would have to see it in real life and hear maybe a 2nd opinion

I would like to own one of those boards though !
