Sorry, but i don´t understand the problem with the cufftitles. One is AFRIKAKORPS and the other is AFRIKA. That should be normal by such a high decorated officer.
Is it a pilot? He have the awards to be one, but the collartabs seem very dark!

Looks like he is a pilot observer and fighter pilot, based on his wearing TWO flight clasps in addition to four cuff titles. Can anyone make out his unit cuff title?

It may just be the picture, but doesn't the alignment of the cuff titles at 'A' and the cloth overlapping the cuff title at 'B' look a bit odd? And the shoulder boards aren't for a pilot, are they?
