    Ostruppen insignia

Here's an unissued Ost-trüppen breast badge cut off a roll + a Tsarist era cap cockade in Tsarist Black-Orange colors. (also seen on Tsarist era medal ribbons)
Question: Anybody with examples of such a cockade on WH headgear? (actual piece or period picture?)
Opinions on these sought please! Thanks Nick

Nick, the Ostruppen insignia is definately a good one, but I have doubts about the Tsarist cockade. It WAS used by the Russian Corps in Serbia, however the original Tsarist cockades are more of an orangy color and many of them are heavily faked these days.

Thanks for confirming. This same type cockade is actually depicted in Peter Schuster's Cossack Uniform book I just noticed! (Schiffer Publishing), so indeed it was certainly worn post Tsar era by the anti communist (cossack) troops.
