Do you think the eagle is the original or a replacement? Could we see a close-up of the stitching inside the lining where the eagle is sewn? Is the thread used to apply the insignia also used in the jacket construction?

Hi Chris, well to be honest it looks to me that this is an original wartime sewn eagle. The tunic is dated 1944 and the pattern eagle is also 1944, sewn very nicely and definatley not replaced. This has been verified
