    Coastal Artillery Soulder Boards

I haven't seen boards quite like this design before. Anyone know who they were intended for? Thanks!

No anchor or "flames" over the shell. High unit number?

I've never seen this type of shoulderstrap for coastal artillery. The only ones I've seen are pointed and the winged shell is is the gold thread and have no branch piping.

I'm not sure that strap is CA? Looks more like Heer? May be for an special Arty unit?

            Strap

This is heer, I am away on business now. For someone who has access to publications look in the Davis Army book, it is in Angolia too.

                  Unit

Yep, that's it. They probably were SP too, neat unit, very rare board.

Thanks guys! Everything about these pointed to Heer -- they came on a Heer tunic; the rounded ends; the piping; the shade of field gray.... But I got hung up on that "winged bomb" which I'd only seen something similar on Kriegsmarine.. So there I am going through my navy references when the books mentioned are right on the shelf..

                      John,

You have a pair on a tunic? Great find! you should post the tunic one of these days.
