    Why no tunic eagles?

    Just picked up this photo, it is dated 1943 in ezzolombardo and is the fairwell dinner to Captain Schmitter, any thoughts?

      I know that not always the eagle was applied in the factory.....

      I have several period Luft. pictures that show no eagles on the uniforms...
