                    Wonderful set. Correct me if I am wrong, from the rank isignia it looks like your man was a Bootsmannsmaat. Tell me if my thinking is correct. Also he had a white jumper, would it be safe to assume he could have very well been issued a blue jumper as well? Would a person of this rank wear something like a blue jumper? I ask as I have acquired a blue jumper ( and know nothing regarding Kriegsmarine) without rank and insignia coming from a family in Germany and it is my understanding that his rank was that of a Bootsmannsmaat. I would like to restore the jumper but what to do it correctly. Sorry for the long post and thank you.

                      Yes he would have a blue wool midi as well as a white one. It is quite possible in the pic of the man wesring the peacoat that he is wearing the blue midi under it.
