Waffenrock Collar Tabs

How and when were collar tabs applied by the tailor, to waffenrock?

Was the whole collar finished and the backing put on, with the tab being sewn on lastly?

I am jus trying to work it out, as i have a waffenrock with pink thread on the tab side, and green thread on the back?

I presume the sewing machine could have green thread below and pink on top? Or would the tab be sewn to the collar with pink thread, the collar backing put on, and then the green sewn through? (if this way, wouldnt the green thread come through the tab side aswell?)

Are waffenrock tabs seen with one colour thread? So pink on the tab side, and pink on the back?

Hi LDR,

Collar tabs were applied after the collar was finished. The top and bottom threads on a sewing machine can be two different colors. My Waffenrock collar looks the same as yours. The top thread matches the collar tab and the bottom thread is grey.
