        I could entertain a doubt.

          Van:
Your flash or scanner light impacts the quality of the images - so the brightness may distort the details. However, the tab may be ok as far as I am concerned....The construction method of the wool piping to the black background and buckram backing altogether look like how many were done. The buckram backing does not appear to be stiffened by resin or glue, but I am convinced this is ok - just a lesser used technique.

The Totenkopf is problematic for me...not sure I like the fat pins and again, the flash masks details of the front side relief.

All-in-all, I agree somewhat with Bryon as I have expressed some points I am personally unsure of...but, without knowing his particular doubts, cannot commiserate with his doubts beyond that. At this point I think the tab may be fine...just not "one-look" textbook.

I will try and get some better pics, the pins however are round, I do believe the lighting is making them look like that.. Ill see what I can do.. thanks.

Here's the other half! My LEFT SIDE single... 100% provenance piece. Clearly too different to pair up with the earlier posted (RIGHT SIDE) one... Nick

Well, unfortunately, I am still on the "dark" side.

Hello Nick, can not say about your Panzer collar tab because its hard to see but it appears nice.

Sad to say however that I do not like that "T-shaped" Panzer trap with the white eagle you have in that display cabinet with the Panzer collar. The arm of the "swaz" does not look straight which is a known trait of the reproductions.

                          or// am I just seeing things ?

                          Chris

Chris that's the only piece with no solid provenance so you could be right...as I'm also not sure about the "T" insignia.... It does appear that the swaz is crooked, but the picture is taken at an angle, the swaz is definately not as bad as it looks and well proportioned... so it could be an optical illusion. I just don't know...
The skull tab and boards and cockarde on the other hand are for sure 100% good and vet obtained.
                            Thanks for the comments.

Thanks Nick, sorry for being the "doubtful Thomas" I have been trying to find a Panzer trap with a white eagle but for me so far, no luck.

I agree with you about the other items. They are nice and I appreciate you sharing them with us.

Would it be possible to see the back of your Panzer collar tab because I have a pair like yours but they have an HBT material on the back and I have never known what to make of them. What is on the back of yours ?

                              Best regards, Chris
