    Luftwaffe jacket

    Hi guys and ladies,

Today I received these two pictures from a Canadia veteran. I believe this is a Luftwaffe jacket. He is interested to know the rank, and what branch this jacket belonged to, like pilots/groundcrew/bomber pilots etc.
The insignia were removed, but I hope you can shed some light on this jacket!!

It is for an Unteroffizier. It could have been worn by aircrew, ground crew, paratroopers; looks like it had a repro eagle on it at one time too.

      Thanks for the response!
Why do you think there was a repro eagle on it once? I will ask the man. Maybe he tried to restore the uniform and later removed it again. I don't know.

The outline of the eagle on the Fliegerbluse (which is the correct name for this jacket) does not look like the original contour of what a correct eagle would look like. Based on these pics of course.

As always, I can only agree to Gene's opinion.
