    SA gorget

    Hello,

I got this SA gorget and no one can tell me if its original or fake, so a friend advised me that on this forum are a lot of experts in 3R military and that maybe you could help me.
    Here are some pictures:

...the pictures are not the best - I dont have a camera and this pictures are made by scaner, becouse of that the colores are a little diferent than in reality.

The gorget is made of copper, over coper is some silve stuff, the simbol and star are from one piece, textile is glued on back side, on back side you can fell a hole where the star is...

If someone knows if this is original or fake please write down post or is someone have similar gorget please put down some pictures.

Thank you very much for all help !

Thank you all for your opinions.

I allready saw that silver-gold one, but is much diferent that this from copper.

I heard that SA units had four diferent tipes of gorgets could this be one of them ?

this gorget your showing is a total fake and was never made like this, i have owned both types and many, many others and have studyed them while i was collecting them, so please don't make the mistake that this is some lost never before seen type.

SA started with Type 1 and went to SA/SS type 2, so there are other unit types and many others but nothing like this.

there is one book out that is all about Gorgets but is an older but pretty complete book, so you might want to get it and also google search gorgets and read and look at all types so yu learn more about them so you don't get burned again. if you picked this up off an dealer you need to return it fast and if you got it off e-bay you might have to request your money back?

so thats it and good luck!
