    German Army Officials Collar tabs

    This is a pair for the Reichskriegsgerichte of the lower career:





    Other specialities wore different color piping around the tab. These are mentioned in Angolia / Schlicht; Uniforms, Traditions and Insignia of the German Army 1933-45, vol. 2.

        Greetings Diane,

        This might explain something my friend found in Germany a while back. He found alot of these basic mid war collar tabs backed. No piping or anything.He thought It just seemed a little unusual to see a good sized lot of backed mid-war tabs.I know they backed the mid-war style but I don't see it as often as the earlier colored tabs.Maybe these were unfinished Administrative officials tabs.

          Great tabs. I only have one single like yours but piped in Yellow that goes 3/4 of the way around.

              Hi Jerry,

              Depending on the shade of Yellow it could be Feldpost (Lemon Yellow) or Remount Officials (Dark Yellow - like Cavalry).

              Post your tab when you have a chance.
