Heer M-43 Trapazoid Cap Patch - Opinions

    Hi all

Was hoping for some thoughts and opinions on the attached scan. Just picked it up. My thoughts are that it is a Heer M-43 Trapazoid patch, but I am not really well versed in these items. Photo shows front and back.

    Thanks for the help,
    Andrew

It appears to be an original late war Heer M43 cap trapezoid.

      Greetings,

These are late war M44 embroidered trapazoid insignia for the M43 field cap. At the moment there are alot of these out on the market.I have see at least 3 different variations.

Thanks for the posts & info. I was hoping that it was a late war issue, since it differed from the more familiar M43 versions I have seen. So the proper designation would be M44 ?

It's my 1st Heer piece, so I have relatively no experience in these items.

          Greetings,

The germans didn't make the distinction of M43 or M44. This is all collector terminology.

Understood, just like to record as much information as possible with the items I pickup.

                m43 trapazoidcap patch

                Hi,

I just noticed the m43 cap patch and can tell you that it is a Italian version made on Italian garbardine material which would ptrove it to be late war since the pulled stocks of Italian material at the end of the war. Can you look at a Hermann Goring m43 cap for me? My email is alexjosephsteele@yahoo.com I can reply back.

                Thanks,
                Dave Steele

That is not Italian material and it is not gabardine. It is a thin rayon backing material.
