A rather scarce tab I believe.

Here is my tab, same rank as Ron's but with differences in embroidery.
I do not have any references on this organization, does anyone know what the rank is?

The rank is.. WLS -Bereitschaftsfuhrer . Only 2 ranks higher than this. jeff

I will try to make a scan of the table today. I would love to have an example for my collection. I do not know why this branch is so rare.

nice tabs - thank you for showing! I'm also looking for Werkluftschutz-stuff (Luftschutz at all) and it is 'funny' that most of the collectors tell me, that Werkluftschutz is not interesting, but if they got something for me "it's so rare", so expensive!
But i would be glad, if there are some more items for me...

WLS -Bereitschaftsfuhrer?

The attribution of the rank of WLS -Bereitschaftsfuhrer to this collar tab was an "educated guess" by David Littlejohn in "Defending the Reich".

The ranks used by the Führergruppe in about 1940 were:
Werkluftschutzleiter Großbetrieb
Stellvertreter Werkluftschutzleiter Großbetrieb
Werkluftschutzleiter Mittelbetrieb
Stellvertreter Werkluftschutzleiter Miittelbetrieb
Werkluftschutzleiter Kleinbetrieb
Stellvertreter Werkluftschutzleiter Kleinbetrieb

At that time they used collar patches and shoulder straps to denote position. Earlier (?) rank insignia was worn on the cuff.

If anyone can shed any light on the subject of the WLS's rank insignia, I'd appreciate it.
