    Braunschweig skull. Original?

    Hello,
I want to know opinions about the originality of this Brunswick skull. Really I donĀ“t know if the insignia is good or not. Thanks , to all in advance.

        It's a repro.

        These are flooding eBay.de

The easy way to tell is that the middle bit of the nose is always missing.

I almost bought one of these at Bedford last sunday... aren't the one's with the hollow nose the Kavallrie skulls, instead of the Braunschweig type?

Yes repro......Another question about the middle bit of the nose.....The missing bit of the nose is a reference in this case, but original items of these skulls (missing the middle bit of the nose) existed too, isn't it????

Is the middle bit missing skull a variant of a different maker or a reference to the time the skull was made / worn (Imperial Germany/Wehrmacht) ????

            My time theory:

I thought in the Imperial Germany the soldiers wore only skulls with the complete nose!?

I always thought in the Wehrmacht the soldiers wore the skulls without the middle bit of the nose and the skulls with the complete nose too !?

            Comments?
