The insignia are post war added. I can see the outline of the original eagle within the lining. Also, the tabs are not right for this style of tunic. Question, is part of the lining made of cammo material?

Yes, camo material was used for one of the support straps.

Odd that some think the collar tabs are not original. The stitching does not go all of the way through the collar and I cannot see where it may have been opened, then restitched to add them.

What's the general consensus on the cuff title?

I'll have to post pics of the other items I purchased with this tunic.

I like the tunic itself, but I don't know about the way the cuff title has been stitched on - it seems a little off. I'll let others discuss the insignia and when it was put on the tunic.

Greetings Cindylance,

The collar tabs are original ,just not to this tunic. You should be able to see the stitch lines of where they were sewn on the underside of the collar. Most likely nicely handsewn.This is not the type of collar tab you expect to see on this late of a tunic. The eagle has definately been replaced as you can see the out line of the original on the lining and where the lining has been ripped at the top corners of where the eagle once was. The boards are slip-ons so the might or might not be original to the tunic. The cufftitle was hand sewn by someone other than a tailor. The joining of the cufftitle ends looks terrible. I cannot comment on the cufftitle on originality but the rest of the insignia looks to be original third reich period Heer insignia.

I would love to hear comments on the cufftitle. I hope this helps.
