Marine insignia

here is a marine insignia I am being offered. Is it ww2 or more recent??

I am quite sceptical because it does not look like a ww2 one:

What is your opinion??

Insignia

Greetings Matoleon,

The insignia looks to be third reich era. I didn't think that the marine or coastal artillery used it! I thought this was Heer insignia for a Richtkanonier,or gun layer.The top piece is a nice earlier embroidered insignia and the bottom one is a bullion piece probably for the soldiers dress or walking out dress uniform. Both are very nice.I hope this helps.
