shoulder boards real or fake??

Hi I picked up about 15 pair of boards from a vet who said he got these from a work camp that was making uniforms for the german army.I don't like the button holes but it was at the end of the war they are made out of the right materal. Any thoughts??

Also the tread is usually gray or feldgrau. The piping material looks alright to me. So they could be original. It is really hard to say when it was made. Nowadays, some people buy Wehrmacht uniform and use it for making shoulder boards.

Hi David,

Not for me. I don't like the cloth (too wooly) and the stitching doesnt show much craftmanship. The buttonholes, well, possible but not the way I like them.
