From the photos I see, the coat looks original to me. As you stated, the insignia looks horrible. The straps... can you please post some close ups of them? They do look like they could possibly be original Heer boards for Signals.

Oh My GOD!!!! Are the boards Sewn down onto the tunic?!?

What in the hell is this deleted photo crap? This is a pure waist of bandwidth. These guys come on here and take, pick up and leave. This is getting old. Maybe once you post a pick it should be there with no ability to delete unless authorized by a mod.

I am definately no expert... but...

Other observations that I did not mention that were obvious by the now missing photos were :

              1. the very crude placement of LW Flight EM tabs(due to photo quality, unknown if even original. The thread opener stated that the insignia were reproduction).

              2. Whoever decided to place the EM tabs onto the tunic with the Heer Signals officer boards seriously did not know what he was doing... at all. Like I stated, the Heer boards could be original. Better photos are needed to be sure.

              3. The boards were attached by somone sewing the boards directly onto the shoulder of the tunic, with the stiching running allong the perimeter of the board into the tunic. The stitching went through the liner and can be seen from the inside of the tunic. You can actually see the stitching form the shape of the board, on the inside liner.

              4. I am not an eagle specialist, but the poorly applied eagle seemed to be crude reproduction.

              5. I do like the Lago and sizing stamps. It WAS a very nice tuchrock! The LBA and RBN stampings were not in the photos. The tunic looked like a nice issued piece.

I would place the value of the garment to be the sum of a damaged and bare tuchrock and the damaged signals Lt boards(if original).

Again, I am no expert. These were my observations and conclusions based upon what I have learned thus far.

Seventeen of his nineteen total posts are of the "is this original?"/"what do you think of this..." variety. I never got to see the tunic in question because the pics were pulled so damned fast. This is getting annoying. If anyone sees it pop up for sale somewhere, let us know.

                  tunic

Once again, here is a guy who I will not lend any help too. The deleting of pics after asking members to take time out of their day to comment is pure BS. Guys, just don't comment on any other items until he reposts the pictures... I suppose we need to start a list of these members (those who pull pictures after getting opinions) and have them pinned for reference.

I dont understand why someone would purposely pull pictures. What is the benifit from it? It is not like "No one" saw them.

                      pulling pics

Most likely he wasn't pleased with the responses he received. Maybe was hoping someone would say it was a late war thrown together tunic. Then he could say well thei"tunic" was discussed and was agreed it was all original and flog it off to someone.... but didn't get the answers he ws looking for. I have seen posts buy people who get the response on one forum go to another and hope they get the responses they are looking for
