    LW Tropical Shoes and Boots.

    Hi,
Is there any one in the forum who has LW Tropical shoes or boots in his collection.
I really want to see some pics of a pair originals.
Maybe pics from books or something like that.
I've only seen once a original pair of boots, all other pair of boots or shoes they offered me didn't had the right features in my opinion.
I know they are faking these things like hell.
What are the right features to look at ?
Did they all had lining inside ?
I hope someone can tell me more about it.
    Thank you,
    Jos.

    Jos:
All I collect is Army/Heer. I have a pair of Army high lace ups from a New Zealand Vet, battlefield liberated from Bardia. Boots are dated 1940 and came from Dal McGuirk's private collection.
Dal wrote a book called Rommel's Army in Africa, published twice (1987/1993). If you do not have it, track one down as it has superb color photos (although small) of all kinds of tropical footwear - including Luftwaffe.
My opinion is that Luftwafe tropical is relatively easier to come by than Heer.

      Greetings Jos!
I have a pair of knee length LW tropical boots. Thy have the side buckles not the lace up fronts. Neat thing is that they are not a perfect match but they do show the same amount of wear. Obviously have been together forever.

      Best regards,
      Bill
